Volvo Penta Ttilt / Trim Switch.?

This 2005 Regal 1900. Two years ago the trim would "pop on" and go to down position. Sometimes I may have inadvertantly brushed Trim switch. I would use Trim switch to pull back up, even at higher rpm's (this is before I read about trimming at 1000 rpm or less. Anyway - when I depress switchon throttle, I hear motor running but outdrive not moving. I have had a little hydraulic fluid leak the past month, but only a a little spot.
I ordered new switch but now I have feelinf it may be something more complicated. Any idea's?........d2debo
