Ok well the motor was froze up, so I decided to remove it I removed all the bolts in the bell housing and wires and such, then tried to pull motor but it seems to be stuck on the spline behind the motor or something. Is there something else I need to do because I pulled and pulled on this motor but all that it does is wobble around but does not come off the bell housing. Any help would be awesome...

Thanks

Re: Volvo Penta

Volvo has made a hundred different engine and drive combinations over the many years, what do you have?
Engine and drive model numbers are a necessity.

Re: Volvo Penta

Since your going to do it all.
Unhook the drive and pull the bellhousing too.
It will be easier to work on and get to the inside to loosen the shaft???
Still gonna be a bugger to do.

Re: Volvo Penta

Pull the upper gear box on the drive and bellows like this.

Then bend down the locking tabs and remove the 6 bolts around the ring. The engine can now be slid forward and removed with the bellhousing still on the engine.
Once you get it out, you can use wedges to seperate it from the engine, and replace the bearing/s in the bellhousing.
