volvo power steering pump replacement?

anyone know of site to get used steering pump for 4.3L gm? new at almost $500.00. mine is leaking and from the looks of it tearing down to rebuild would be more like ripping apart, much rust on entire pump. think oil sump may have rusted thru and possible leak where round part of pump goes into oil supply sump.

I thought your head gasket was blown.
I thought you were getting a new engine from Rapido.

Just go to a auto wrecking yard and get one. as long as it is the same shape...i.e. teardrop or round it will be the same. The only differences are the return hose tube that is part of the resivoir. Teardrop are the later models and used for variable ratio and the round pumps are for the old constant ratio.

There are no "marine" grade pumps.

same problem 3 yrs ago...take it off..dry area inside and out .use jb weld on outside

I think the last coat of silicone did the trick. After several days it still has oil in it and before it would leak out sitting still.

Engine still runs but not right. Got a lot of blow-by and crankcase over pressure. Do not trust it, plan on Itercoastal trip this summer and don't won't to be stranded many miles from home! Still have some temp gauge and overheat switch problems but am working nights and that tends to take the "want to" out of the best intentions.
