vortec heads to marine motor?

Hello.

I have a pair of Vortec cylinder heads from my 406 small block (from my car) that have only 6000 miles on them. I want to swap them (and my intake manifold) to my 350 boat motor. I only run in fresh (no salt) water. The heads are stock as far as springs and valves go. Can I just swap the heads using marine head gasket and be done? Also, can I swap my HEI distributor too? Thanks for any replies. BTW, the boat motor is a 1984 5.7 liter in a Bayliner Capri, 280 drive.

Sure, heads will bolt right on.
You will HAVE to use a vortec intake manifold (4 bolts per side).

As for the automotive HEI distributor:
It will be neither Legal, Safe, or Suited in any way for Marine usage.

Looks like a GO for the heads and a big NO for the dizzy. I have only around 6 months boating experience so thanks for answering my questions.
