Vovlo 4.3 gxi 2007 model RPM problems

Just replace starter and solenoid plus new batteries. Fuel was just top off. Question is at 3000 rpm losing power , drops rpm and then comes back up. There is no whining noise from fuel pump at all. Could it be pressure regulator before injectors? Bad fuel, fill up using non-ehtanol. Going to change fuel filter today. Any suggestions?
Couple things I forgot purchase boat in may from California. Three full ups since then with no ethanol gas. That does not mean much, as today no one seems to tell the truth. On starter it is a ***** to ge tout. check for leaks on riser or you will get bleeding knuckles/. Boat was check out by a certified volvo mechanic . do not know how this could be missed as it was rusty and nasty.

No reason to just toss a valuable diagnostic tool,....

Dump it into a clear container, 'n Look at it,... yer lookin' for anything that ain't gasoline,....

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Make sure ya Check the Contents of the take-off filter,....

Dump it into a clear container, 'n Look at it,... yer lookin' for anything that ain't gasoline,....

Did just that and some things where there. I have a another filter in front of the fuel filter on fuel pump. What I did find is some corrosion on electrical on both low and high volume pumps. The lower one had more due to it is parallel. Clean them up also. Ran boat at dock no load up to 3500 rpm. It did not lose any RPM. But as we know boats can make you very humble quick.

Hi there, if the things you corrected in post #3 don't seem to help, then you're going to want to buy yourself a fuel pressure tester gauge and see what your fuel pressure reading is while under load. Free revving on the trailer can be deceiving compared to under load near full throttle.
