VP 2007 3L 135HP engine oil options

Can I use regular full synthetic engine oil like
Mobil 1 Full Synthetic
Castrol Edge Full Synthetic

Also for lower end gear oil. Is regular gear oil ok? Any recommendations?

your motor is a flat tappet motor. I would stick with dino squeezings high in zinc, like Rotella T4 15W-40

as for the outdrive, use a marine gear lube that meets volvo's requirements.

Also isn't the rotella t4 a diesel engine oil? Not sure if that makes a difference

No, not really

It is one of the very few cheap high zinc oils. You need zinc for your flat tappet motor

Your gear oil need to NOT to have limited slip additives. Many automotive gear oils do, you need to find one that does not. I use Amsoil marine gear oil.
