VP 5.0 GXI - Oil pressure drops to zero above 2500 revs.

On my 2002 5.0 GXI-B engine the oil pressure read normally below 2500 revs but once the engine gets above that the pressure drops to zero and then returns to normal when the revs are reduced. Is this an Oil pressure relief valve issue?

My guess is its something with connections on the gauge because your not getting an alarm. The motor has 2 sensors, one for the gauge your looking at and the other is what the ECM looks at.

Check connections on the gauge and sensor. If good, remove the gauge sensor and install a mechanical gauge to watch oil pressure
