hi all, new here to the forum and looking for help. I'm working on a friends 5.7GLI who asked if I could replace the low pressure fuel pump that his mechanic said was faulty. the back story was last year the boat just quit on him on the water, during winterization the mechanic looked at it and advised the low pressure pump was running red hot and needed to be replaced so he disconnected it until spring. this is where I come in, so I replaced the pump and filter. Now the engine starts and runs for 2-3 seconds and quits consistantly,I pulled the flame arrestor so I could see the throttle body and injectors for fuel delivery . The fuel delivery (spray) just stops after 2-3 seconds of running. I have ordered a new high pressure pump but am really just guessing at this point as to the solution so I'd appreciate your expertise and if someone has had the same issue. thanks
