VP 8.1 leaking at y pipe

Water is coming in bilge with motor off. Filled bilge with hose water and water started coming out big square hole in bottom of drive right at transom. Is this from y pipe? Can’t see or reach that far down from inside even with mirror. Any other ideas of anything to check? How much should I expect to pay for someone to pull motor and replace? Chaparral 256sx with vp 8.1 and dps drive

very possible. motor has to come out anyway. cost of motor removal depends a lot on how many things need to be removed. engine cover--seats- storage boxes. etc. some times seat framing is removeable and sometimes not.alot of variables.

that is a fair amount of corrosion on the drive

pull the motor, pull the y-pipe and look. may be the start of a larger can of worms.
