Vp aq275 prop seals replacement

I got a new shaft on eBay and need to replace my prop shaft seals because I bent my shaft. Anyway i have the shaft out of the coupling and how do I get the old seals out they are seals in? How do you put the new ones in correctly and my book says to use sealing compound what kind?
