VP tachometer does not work

Hi
I just bought a 2004 GLASTRON with VP 4.3 GL on it.
Everything is just fine, except that the tachometer does not work.
Anything I could easily check before taking it to a mechanic ?

What have you checked? Did you check to make sure it is hooked up?

Actually, I don't have a clue where to look...:grumpy:
So, no I have not checked wether it was hooked up.
Should I checked in the dashboard or on the motor ?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... Both,....

The tach get's it's electrical Signal from the (-) terminal of the coil,...

The wires on the back of the tach are usually marked,...
