VP trim/tilt fluid

I cannot find a local source for VP trim/tilt fluid locally. Have to order it and have it shipped. Can OMC brand trim/tilt fluid be added to existing VP trim/tilt fluid? OMC trim/tilt fluid is available locally. The closet VP dealer is 150 miles from my location.

MerCruiser states that engine oil can be used if the proper Quicksilver oil is'nt available, however I would'nt try that on a VP drive.
VP usually recomends the following, but it will depend on what drive you have, and it seems you have forgotten the obvious, to write what model sterndrive your referring to ???
From VP:
If necessary, add Volvo Penta Power Trim/Tilt and Steering
Fluid, or Dexron Automatic Transmission Fluid. Add as
required. Replace the cap and tighten securely.

I would however be careful when mixing oils, a better option is probably to replace the oil with something you can easily find where you live.
