Hey guys, :)

I have a Johnson 1989 150hp and this summer i decided to disconnect the VRO system. After that I had some problem with the fuel pressure(I think). When I'm on idle,it's ok but when I go over 30 mph, I have to squezze the "hand pump", If not, the motor goes off...

I've check all of my connection and I have the same problem.

The problem is that before I disconnect my VRO, the fuel pressure was ok...so I dont think the main problem is my fuel line.

So if you find a clue about it, tell me please!

could it be the plug I put in the input of the VRO??

I don't have anymore fun to ride a 150hp like a 9.9hp

p.s I know it's a topic that always come back, but I have'nt solve my problem

thx
Félix

I would first suspect the plug on the oil input to the pump, Felix.

If it is leaky the pump will be pumping air into the fuel feed to the carbs.

Good luck. :)

Ok I found the problem!!
I was the checkvalve in the front (gaz tank)
It was blocked wish dust...so the fuel pump couln't do it job at 100%

I'm really happy!

thx JB
