'86 Evinrude 140....installed new VRO pump using directions supplied in kit. Went in easy enough, but one thing had me puzzled.<br /><br />The instructions mentioned something about replacing the conection where the pulse hose meets the engine block. Couldn't get at that too easily and was having trouble understanding why you wouldn't just leave the old connection there if there wasn't a problem with it. I did install the in-line pulse limiter that came with the kit.<br /><br />Did I mess up by not replacing that connection?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br /><br />Brew
