I recently bought a boat with an 89 Johnson GT 150 and I wanted to test the VRO alarms. With the engine running I pinched the gas line which caused the fuel restriction alarm to sound. I then tried the same thing with the oil line and nothing happened (no alarm). I then emptied the oil out of resivoir to check low level alarm and no alarm sounded. The next day I took the boat out and the low level alarm started working, but the oil restriction alarm never sounded. I do not know what to do from hear. I would like to have the VRO system functioning properly. I did have oil mixed in gas at the proper ratio while checking out these alarms.
