vro tank mounting

my evinrude 225 1991 has a remote mounted oil tank. Anyone know how far away it could be from engine. putting it close is not practical and would take some modification on my boat. Any suggestions?

Factory says that 20' of hose is max. Use a continuous length, do not splice it.
