I have a 90 hp John on a '40 house boat. About 2 1/2 yrs ago it started having an intermitant spark prob. It never failed once started, it would run for hours. It got progressively worse. A marina mechanic looked at it and condemmed the stator(timing base)since it had no spark on either bank. I replaced the stator and still the same problem. I also isolated the lanyard switch off the console and cut the black with yellow tracer wire off the power pack plugs. Still no spark to either bank. I've ohmed out both stators with the white wire being common and get 32 to 34 ohms. I've replaced the port power pack thinking I could have blown both at the same time. I've checked the 20 Amp fuse about 10x with a meter and it tests good. I even replaced it once. I can generally fix stuff, motorcycle, quads, pwc's cars but I'm lost
