Re: wahoo boats
I have 16 Wahoo and it was/is a terrific boat.Wahoo was a company out of Ashland Virgina that started building tri-hulls VERY similar to Whaler, with the same claim of unsinkable, foam filled. The main difference in the overall design/build was that Wahoos had a separate hull/liner that were foam LINED, with a void(bilge) in between. Whaler is foam FILLED with the hull/liner being one bonded unit with no voids.Wahoo started building boats under the original ownership from roughly the early to mid 80s to early 90s. After many years of legal battles with Whaler, and low market share they went into bankruptcy, and the company was ironically sold to Brunswick. Brunswick kept the company, eventually shuffling it into the the Robalo line. Robalo phased out the molds in a short period of time, bringing an end to the Wahoo lineage.
Wahoo By Pacemaker, was a MODEL not a line of boats. Pacemaker only made the 26, which is no relation to the Wahoo line of boats.
I hope this helps clarify .
