I just bought an 18 foot bayliner which i am going to use for fishing and wakeboarding. I was wondering if there is any specific type of prop i should buy that would be better for these two activities?

All we know is that you have an 18 foot Bayliner. We have no idea whether this is an outboard, I/O, what model boat, what the horsepower is, and what the current wide open throttle top speed and rpm are. Go to the link below which is the frequently asked questions area. It explains what you need to know for prop selection.

Then you know more about what the boat needs than we do. RPM and speed at WOT are the main performance measures. Without them you have no idea whether the prop is right or wrong.

You might want to give the boat a test run and see what kind of performance you actually get.
