This is a bit premature since I haven't got the motor running yet, but I would
like suggestions on some good all around props for a starcraft sfm190 with
a mercury 135 v6. Mercurys' prop selector suggests 21 pitch props.
Details
~18'9'' length
92'' beam
17 degree deadrise at transom
reverse chine hull
hull weight listed 930lbs. actual unknown
average load persons ~400lbs.
fuel 25 gallon tank
2 large batteries

motor 1991 mercury 135hp v6 outboard
2.0: 1 gears
rpm range 5-5600, may spin it as high as 6000 since oil injection is disabled.

I currently have a 17p mirage thats a bit chewed up that I can get some
baseline #'s from once I replace the stator and rewire the motor then put it on my starcraft.

I'm mainly looking for suggestions on prop brands I'm leaning toward trophy
and laser 2's since I see them for sale used frequently around here for $100-
150. Would a chopper or vengence work well also? I'm probably going to be
limited to props used on bass boats or I/O bowriders if I try to buy used
as these are the only boats used around here.

Re: Walleye boat prop suggestions?

Only way you will ever know is via trial and error. Everything else is WAG's and if real data and calculations are included, SWAG (Scientific Wild Assed Guesses). With that being said, there are some very gifted SWAG experts on this site that, if not deadnutson, are within a heartbeat of it. Nuf said.
