Hi Guys,

Have a 24# minn-kota trolling motor on my 14'
x-wide flat been using it for years no trouble. It's a transom mount that is mounted on a bracket I made fit the front of the flat. Today I purchased a new bow mount 40# all terrain. Tiller steering not the foot control.

The question I have is this, I saw a foot control on-off/momentary on switch at wallmart. It shows wiring two ways as if to have two switches. I know this sounds strange but I was wondering if anyone here has seen what I'm talking about or has actually installed one on their boat. I like the trolling motor but sometimes it's inconveiant to handle, say when bringing in a fish but I would like to turn it off.

Any input would be appreciated.

BTW the full fledge foot control steering/power setup is out of the question. Son-in-law has one on his boat and the few times I used it I almost threw myself out of
the boat. He loves it.

Thanks,
Beck
