i have a 1997 200 hp. mercury that i just replaced one of the pistons. now all it will do is spin over not fire. i have spark and compression, fuel up to the fuel pump but no fuel spray from the injectors when you turn the engine over. i cant figure it out, i would appreciate any input.

Check to see if the fuel rail is developing pressure.<br /><br />Also check to see if the electric fuel pump is priming when you turn the key to ON.<br /><br />TMD

i apreciate your advice and any is good right now<br />the rail has pressure because i turn the key on <br />and bleed the injectors and they spray fuel, but they wont spray on their on. the fuel pump is priming when i turn the key on. do you have any<br />other suggestions, because i just cant seem to figure this one out. could it be a wiring problem<br />or the efi gone bad

Are you getting a full 12v to the ecm?<br /><br />TMD

yes full 12v, the thing is before i changed the piston i had the engine fire up i was thinking <br />i might have a wiring problem but everything looks good unless im just missing something.
