Hi,

I've read the threads and didn,t find my answer.

I have a inflatable boat, it's a Brig F300 with rigid floor. The engine is a Yamaha 25hp, 2 strokes. I didn't try it with a tach but it seems that the engine turn really too fast! My top speed is 30 MPH on gps. The prop that I have is an alu 9 7/8 X 11 1/4pitch. The total weight boat+engine+me = 450pounds

I'm looking to buy a SS prop but don't know exactly wich pitch to choose. I think that 13inches should be good.

Any idea?

What year is the motor?
It appears it is turning about 6300 A 12" pitch should put you close to 6000 that I believe the max rating.
If you often carry additional passengers You may want to see how it reacts with a load. You can always throttle back
when lightly loaded.I have a feeling the Brig may fade fast as weight is added.

Hi,
Thank you Steelespkike.

The motor is a 2010. Didn't see big difference when we were 2 onboard. Just want to be sure what I need before spending money.

What's your guest with a SS 13in.

TY

Its hard to estimate when going from al to ss however i don't think a 13" prop will hurt things.Did you note rpm with 2 aboard?
wouldn't hurt to do a quick test with 3 aboard,or 2 and some serious gear.

OK, I bought(from Iboats) a ss prop Solas 10 X 15pitch and I just tried it yesterday and I'm so happy. Even if it was windy I saw a huge difference even on my 16' fishing boat princecraft. The motor runs very well not too low and not too fast(I don't know the rpm) but it goes faster than before with a lot less rpm.

On my gps it was running at 32mph on my princecraft, didn't tried it on my rib yet. I'm sure it gonna be perfect! What a difference!

Sorry but I'm so happy!
