Wanted to thank the help on 115hp Chrysler post..And???

Also was woundering why you have to change the water impeller..??? tried to start her and she won't fire.. Today is shot so tomorrow I am checking for spark and any tips from there would be great...<br /><br />Thanks for all info <br /><br /> :)

The impeller is made of a rubber-like material, and the vanes will wear away, leaving you little or no ability to pump water. I replace mine yearly, but the boat gets used 2-3 times a week. Your mileage may vary. ;)

Ok how do i get to the impeller... don't have a manual to the engine yet...<br /><br />thanks

Get a MANUAL it will be the best $25. you ever spent. When you own an boat you can do over half of the maintenance and repairs yourself if you have any common sense. Marine repair shops are expensive {sorry pro wrenches}, for instance.<br /><br />A buddy of mine had a ten dollar inpeller installed and with labor the bill came to a tad over $150.00, I rest my case.<br /><br />Happy Boating, Hal :)
