Wards Seaking 55HP Info?

I have a Wards Seaking 55HP motor Model #VWB27955A, Serial #76X11016. Motor runs but,<br />it won't for long unless I find out more about it and, at a minimum, replace the waterpump impellor!<br /><br />Any info (Year, Parts Source, Correct Fuel/Oil Mixture, etc.) and suggestions (other than DUMP IT) would be appreciated greatly!<br /><br />Jim

Pilotham, your motor is a 1967 model, great motor. Properly maintained will run forever. The oil is mixed at 50:1 with a TCW3 2 stroke oil. It may say somewhere on that motor to mix 30W oil, but don't. Use 2 stroke oil. Your impellor can be had from Twin City Outboards. Their phone number is 952-496-1951. They may or may not need you to send them the old impellor to match it up exactly. Welcome to iboats and keep posting.

Thanks for the year info... Now for the bigger question, what CHRYSLER Model/Serial numbers are used to get parts for this motor? Obviously, Montgomery Wards disappeared long ago!<br /><br />Thanks for your help (need to get some rehabing done before running this too much!).

Pilotham. If you call Twin City Outboards and give them the model and serial number you posted ealier, they will hook you up. Those Chrylser made Sea Kings are identical to their Chrylser labeled counterparts. The model number for a 55hp "Chrysler" made the same year is <br />55721-22-3132.<br /><br />The two motors are identical and you can use either model number to order parts. Good luck.
