I know it should be good and warm but sometimes its just not handy to run it. What about the lower unit? What do you all do?

Re: Warm your motor before you change the oil?

hello<br /> I use an evacuation unit on the engine oil. as long as its above 40* I dont warm it up. I am sucking off the bottom of the pan sowhy should I stir all the contaminats back upthat have spent solong settling. the lower just drain. sometimes if I am doing a late winterize I spend 10min with propane warming the case soit will drain. aint nothing like 75w90 at 30 degrees.but after this year its no worries. I put all my cotractees and customers on notice. if its below 45 degrees and after thanksgiving rodbolt stays home by the heater. no more fighting ice on the deck trying to winterize boats that had not run since august :)
