Motor is a 1990 Johnson 175 VRO. Launched Sat. and started hearing a single "beep" from dash every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Motor performance didn't seem affected. I went out for a shakedown ride and motor reached full RPM, idled nicely, everything worked fine, except for the "beep". <br />I have a Seloc manual and it does not address the warning alarms. I know there are different meanings to different alarms. Can anybody fill me in?

Re: warning alarms

Sounds like it's the low oil warning. Did you check the oil level in the tank? Every 20 seconds or so is low oil alarm, rapid beep is no oil or restriction, and constant alarm is overheat....

Re: warning alarms

I assume when you say "low oil" you mean that the level of oil in the tank is low, not that the flow of oil is low? Is there some sort of float or sensor in the oil tank?
