Hello out there.<br /><br />My warning horn (3 wirer model) on my Evinrude 1990 60HP VRO does not work. I have tryid to ground the TAN wirer at the temp.switch, but still no sound from the warning horn.<br />My qustion is, can I use any 12V, 2 wirer warning horn to replace my 3 wirer model ?<br />I have planed to connect a 2 wirer horn (car alarm). the purple wirer from the old warning horn, I will connect to the new horn, and also connect TAN wirer to the new horn.<br />And as a self test, Ill install a small button from the TAN wirer to ground.<br />Do anyone know, if that will work ???????
