Trying to install aux warning horn. I find two
horns, one behind dash that beeps when ignition
turned on. The second is underneath the shift control
unit that does not make sound when ignition turn on.

Are these two separate warning horns? Or, are they
linked together?

I have a new aux marine horn that I want to use to
supplement the overheat warning horn.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Warning horn installatiion

With the ignition on, disconnect the tan wire at the cylinder head and ground the harness end to the engine block. That will sound the horn that is/are connected to the temperature switch/warning system.

There should be a sleeve on the tan wire with a disconnect a few inches from the cylinder head.
