I removed the oil pump, disconned the wires from the oil pump to the warning module, also removed oil resevoir from the motor and disconnected those wires from the warning module. The warning module continues to peep when the key is turned on. Why? What do I need to do to stop the beeping?Thank You.

Thanks Kiwi, but if you disconnect the purple wire coming out of the sensor, isn't that the 12v supplose that also cuts off the overheating sensor?

mjw
No , the purple wire thats goes to the oil warning module feeds the module, the overheat is on its own system, it works by putting the circuit to ground when the the sensor gets to hot.Follow the purple wire back to the connecter block and unscrew.
You can take the module right off the engine and your overheat still works. If you want to check your overheat just use a jumer lead to ground the tan\blue wire to ground with your key turned on and it should beep. The reason it still beeps at the moment is because the module is looking for the pulse from the oil pump sensor and because it's not getting it it thinks it is not turning.

Kiwi

Kiwi
