warning tone dosnt work 90 hp

can any body help my 2002 90hp merc. dosnt give me a warning tone when i start it up should it? i know my overheat tone works (plastic bag) and low oil tone works (another story)saw 2 brown wires in cowl disconnected, connected and still no results thanks

cwilt,<br />i own an 03 90hp 2stroker merc. i do not get a warning tone of any sort when i first start engine.
