Warped hull, rotten stringers?

I found a soft spot of the floor of my '97 Sea Ray 230 and I'm afraid my stringers are rotten. I also noticed the bottom of the hull had a noticeable wavy/curved shape in the area just below soft spot. The starboard side is fairly straight and looks nothing like this. I'm thinking the hull is warped from rotten stringers? Can this be repaired along with the stringers, or is it not worth the hassle? Unfortunately iboats won't let me post pics yet since I'm a new poster.

Welcome aboard ! If you plan on doing a full stringer and probably transom replacement you should be able to straighten the hull . Just depends on how bad it is ..
I think you can start posting picks with your second post I assume .

I'm planning on selling the boat, but not sure if I should fix it first or just sell it CHEAP!

I bought it pretty cheap, so taking a loss isn't that big of a deal

No Title

Cool, hit the post minimum. Here's the pic. You can see the curve clearly. There is no such curve on the starboard side.

Sell it as a project

You arent likely to recoup the money it'll take to fix it, back. And any of your labor would have been 'free'...

That's what I'm thinking. I need a boat, not a project. But am I correct in assuming this is a sign of weakened stringers?

Sure looks like a repair to me. A deflection that bad you should be seeing stress cracks all over the place. Also if you look real close the left side of the picture.. looks like the blend spot.

Dont discount it yet. Find out for sure if the stringers and/or transom are bad first. Soft spot on deck is a different matter.

Got any inside pics ?..over all pics too.
