Washdown Pump

I am installing a raw water wasdown system and have a question.<br /><br />I bought this spigot.<br /><br />

<br /><br />It has a 1/2" pipe fitting. Only has 2 holes for mounting. Holes are only big enough for #2 screws.<br /><br />Any tips on mounting?<br /><br />I don't feel comfortable with only the 2 #2 screws holding it on to the fiberglass.

Drill and countersink (if necessary) two more 90 degrees from the other two. If you have access to the back of the panel on which the spigot will mount, use stainless machine screws backed up with flat washers and nylon insert nuts rather than wood screws. If the two existing mounting holes can be drilled larger to accept larger hardware -- do it. Just don't oversize so far that the material is weakened. You won't be doing "chin-ups" on this spigot so it doesn't need a great deal of support.

Just a thought.... you may want to reconsider and go with a quarter-turn ball valve, they are much more user friendly.<br /><br />I would fabricate a frame and mount it behind where the spigot would go, then run the supply line to the frame, and mount a sturdy pipe nipple going through the wall to where the spigot would go (just like a house), then use the sturdiness of the frame and nipple to hold up the spigot.
