I have a 1963 johnson 75HP electric shift (v4al-15e) motor that I can find almost any part for, but I am having trouble finding parts for the water choke. Does anybody know where I can find parts for the water choke?

He means the water heated automatic choke on the carburetor.

Do you have the part numbers you need? If so, try your local Evinrude dealer--you might be surprised at what's available. If no luck there, try www.sea-way.com

Not meaning to insult you, but if it were me, I wouldn't bother with it. Those things never worked when they were new. Most people just opened the door and manually choked it for a cold start, then put it in choke off position for the rest of the day. They only used the hot water choke for a few years, then went to a hot-air choke with electric booster that was much better.

Thanks. Good to know they never worked when they were new. I thought mine did not work because the motor had sat for 10 years.
