Water Discharge

I have a 1975 Evinrude 115 HP, about to change the water pump.
Question is where should the I see the water discharge from, when it
is running with the earmuffs. Should I see it from exhaust ports below the
powerhead, vents on the foot, hub
Feelin kinda dumb here, never worked on engine without telltale

Very little (mist mainly) from the relief ports on the upper aft leg, mostly from the prop hub and all the little drain holes. When on the hose, the midsection has a lot of water in it and any hole is fair game, also may get some water from the midsection/lower unit parting line (it's not sealed).

BTW, telltales are vastly overrated.
