I have a 70 ho evenrude. I am not sure of the years late 80's or early 90s
I noticed the other day the water that does to the peehole has a duel outlet. One goes to the pee hole and the other discharges into the engine compartment. I assume it is not supposed to do that. I cant find anywhere it would connect to. any thoughts would be appreciated.

The one side goes to a water pressure gauge.----Likely it did not come with the motor.----Install a 90 degree elbow.---Or post the model # / pictures of your motor.-----On some models that fitting should be moved to the top of the block !

That fitting need to be thrown away.-----I am assuming you just bought this 1993 motor.-----Get the water pump kit 0432955 and follow instructions.----Service bulletin came out in 1994 to move that fitting.----Obviously you did not install a water pressure gauge !!-----All simple to me.

Ok I see that. The kit you suggested is the water pump rebuild kit it does not have the fittings to move the port. Also in the mean time can I just cap the one side. Did this originally go to somewhere instead of spitting water all over the electrical?
