I noticed water droplets on my sparkplugs on my 97 75hp merc when I went to change them out the other day and from what I've be reading this isn't good. I was out on it and got in to some muck took me alittle while get water out of the pee hole and it started to beep on me. After it sat for a while it ran like normal. I did a compression check I got 125 on all 3 cylinders. Do I have a problem here or is it a easy fix? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks...

Several thoughts.

In the winter time I'd say that 's normal.

If you had a pin hole in the cylinder to water jacket interface, it could be cooling water; but on a 97 would doubt it.

Only other thing would be if you had just fired off the engine and it didn't have time to evaporate it off; like if you live in a real humid environment and the metal was sweating due to combustion in a cold engine.

Best I can do,

I thought of the humidty thing after I posted. It was a very very humid day that I was messing with it and I was running very cold well water through it and all around the motor was condenation. I'm going to take it out today and see how it runs. Thanks for the reply.
