Water Flow Problem

I am working on a 1967 Big Twin Evinrude 40hp. I have replaced the impeller and have no water coming out of pee hole. I removed the thermostat housing and ran engine and water was coming out of housing area. I replaced housing without the thermostat and still no water coming out. What could it be?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!.

probably an insect or mud dobbers nest in the pee hole tubing. clean it out with a wire

Your 67 does not have a pee hole unless added by someone later. There may be a mist comming out of the hole at the back of the engine below the powerhead at idle. When in the water and up to speed you will see water flowing out of that hole.
