Little background,
We run a surf camp in Nicaragua. We have a 2001 DF115. Our average usage is about 200hrs a month. We have had this motor for 2 years. Started having a water flow problem. The pilot jet stopped pissing and she overheated. Checked the water pump and impeller, in good shape, thermostat functioning, water pressure valve functioning. Moving on to check the water tube in the oil pan and then into the water jackets of the power head. A large chunk of RTV was found blocking the pilot water hole (please don?t ask) My theory is that someone got a little too liberal with the RTV and there is are more chunks floating around blocking elsewhere. Also when she is started the water return hose keeps pressurizing and blowing off without haveing an water flow through it. I am looking for advice on cheacking and clearing the water jackets in the head without removing the valves and cylinders. Is this possible? any help would be greatly appreciated.
