Hello all, just want to see if anyone else has had this issue. Looks like a threaded hole to the right of my top spark plug on an inline 6 merc 115. It has water not shooting but slowly running out of it. I assume something is supposed to be in this hole. Anyone know?? I had someone post something saying a temp sensor??
Thanks..........

I had the same prob on a v8.Is it a pipe thread in the head???A pipe thread looks like you are supposed to put a rachet handle on it to turn.It may just look like a hole if it is coroded or if you cant see it good. Charlie

don't know what you have exactly, but if the head ever had a crack in it sometimes you can do what they call block stitching which is a way of saving a block.......sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn"t,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: Water from the top of the engine

Hello again all. I was looking over my boat tonight, had it running and was inspecting further. The water is coming from the spark plug threaded hole. There is some info about water jackets around the plugs?? Anyone know anything about this?? Where would the water be coming from?? ............hoping its nothing serious. The engine seems to run fine, so I don't think theres water in the cylinder....

Any help would be appreciated.
