Water/Fuel Separator Question

Hey guys and gals i have a 1996 Evinrude 50Hp Electric start and my question is that i have removed the VRO system and running Pre-Mix (50:1). The boat came with an onboard Fuel/Water Separator system. So my question is can i run the premix gas through the filter i currently have a direct line from the gas tank to the outboard and where should the primer bulb be located if i where to use the filter system before the filter or after thanks henry

sure you can use the filter, just be sure when you change the filter to fill it with premixed fuel, before reinstalling, makes repriming much easier. bulb goes between filter and motor. i have several 50's from 1988 -2004, all on premixed fuel.

I run my primer before the filter. Does it matter?

it works better after the filter, but will work before.
