Recently I allowed my boat to sit inactive for a period of around 6 months in which during this time I got a lot of water in gas. Discovered this of course when the fuel filter's sensor set off the alarm plus the boat struggled to get on plane. After draining both tanks and the filter I put a couple gallons in each tank and ran the engine. It still bogged a tad when trying to come out of the hole, but it was a 100% improvement over the last run. Once on plane the engine runs like a champ (200 EFI Mercury outboard) but will still bog trying to get on plane afterwards. I brought it back and drained what little gas was left in the tanks and again checked the filter which had just a touch of water in it. After this I went ahead and replaced the fuel filter and plugs but have have not a chance to run it yet. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts/input on anything else I might want to do before taking it out this coming weekend? ... additives etc...? <br />Thanks in advance for your input!
