I have a 1991 Johnson 200hp that is getting about 1/2 cup of water in the foot each trip. Is this a seal behind the prop? And, is this hard to replace or should it be done by a Tech?? Will this damage my foot if I keep the oil changed?? Thanks

Since Water and oil dont mix, Its def not good. If one seal is gone you should go ahead and replace all of them to be safe as gears and such gets very pricy! The cost of a seal kit is pretty cheap for anthor 21 Years.

Have it pressure and vacuumed checked before you do anything. This way you'll know exactly where it's leaking.

Fish, That gearcase has 5 seals. Propshaft, drivshaft, shiftshaft and drain and fill gaskets. A pressure test may show the culprit(s).
