Elec water heater quit yesterday. Only one year old. Fuse was blown. Replaced fuse and had to push a reset button on upper control unit. Now get hot water for only a few minutes. I'm thinking one of the two elements isn't functioning. Anyone know how I troubleshoot the two control units vs the elements as the culprit?

Re: Water heater

UPDATE Initially ohm meter tested ok. then diconnected wires from each element and retested. Turned out one bad element. Apparently when still connected somehow had continuity loop disguising bad electrode.
Have hot water again Mama's happy.(We all know what it's like when she ain't)
Thanks guys
