Water in bilge

Hello I recently purchased a 1999 Glastron 229 with a volvo penta 5.0L. The first time putting it in the water there was water getting into the bilge. I would say the bilge pump turned on four times in a period of 3hours. Any ideas one where the water may be coming from. I looking leaks in any hoses and there doesn't appear to be any. My thoughts would be the drive bellows.

You'll need to get the flashlight out and really look thoroughly. That is the only way to tell for sure. Otherwise you are just 'shooting in the dark' as to where the leak is coming from. Check the transom assembly and all of the places that are hard to reach. Use a mechanic's mirror if you need to.

It's recommend that you pull the prop/drive once a year. Since that's the most likely place it's leaking and you don't know the history, I'd pull them to at least regrease. I'm going to bet the seal is leaking and hopefully you can grease the hell out of your u-joints to prevent having to replace.
