hi? i have a 95 bayliner capri with an outboard motor. when ever i go out for a ride, after riding for some time, i will see water on the carpet from the the driver seat all the way back. it like water spill in the boat and the capet is wet.. this usually happy not in the middle area but by the sides of the boat. at the back, under the back seat close to the engine water settle there. there is a hole on both side on the wall that is around the engine. . those hose are through holes. from inside to out. is this normal or something is happening. the bow is alway dry.

is anyone having this problem with their ski boat or 95 bayliner capri?

thanks

Re: water in boat

Kinda hard to understand your broken english. Pictures would be a big help too.

Have you checked the drain plug? If you are getting water in from the splash well it may need some attention. It is there for water to splash in and drain back out via the top holes.

Check the tube at the back of the speedo. If the speedo pick-up line has a leak it show up around the drivers seat and under the dash.

Re: water in boat

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I was having a bit of a water issue inside the boat myself the other day & I did post a question. Dellsboater, excellent idea, the speed-o tube! never even thought to check it. That would explain a few things, how the water suddenly appeared, underside of hull looks intact, why, if I just sit tied to the dock no water gets in. My problem is a little different than OP's as my water is in the bilge & not on top of the deck. But thanks for the idea dells, I'll be checking that tube as soon as I get outside this morning.
