Water in engine

I have a 1985 volvo 225D boat stalled at dock would not restart pulled plugs and found water, filled engine with oil to stop corrosian, risers and manifolds are 6yrs old but the boat never overheated, any ideas.

That's My Guess....................<br /><br />You've really Got to get that motor Running,.......<br />Pouring Oil into it will Help,... But Running it will Save it.......

Sounds like the most likely candidate to me too. Pull em and test em.

You said that the boat stalled at the dock, did it just stop, or did it cough and sputter and maybe diesel before stopping ? If you have a fuel or ignition issue that caused it to diesel, it could have spun backward a revolution or two...that could cause the water ingestion. I'm not saying you shouldn't check and or replace your exhaust manifolds and risers....it's time, but this particular situation could have been caused by something else.
