First I want to thank everyone for the advice on getting my motor running.

I have owned the boat and motor since October.

Now for the current issue. I changed the lower unit oil 2 weeks ago. I put the boat in the water yesterday and it ran great, brought it home and flushed my engine. I was in the driveway today and noticed a quarter sized oil leak on my driveway. After looking at the lower unit I found my leak. It's leaking at one of the lower unit mounting bolts and I have water in the oil again.

I'm going to pull the unit and replace the water pump impeller. What else should I look at so I can resolve this issue. I'm also wondering if I should just do a whole rebuild on the lower unit.

After you get the lower unit off, have it pressure and vacuum checked. That will take the guess work out of where it's leaking.

I dont have access to pressure testing so i normally do the shift and drive shaft seals and retest, if thats ok great, if not i get stuck into the prop ones.
If i didnt deteste the local marine shop i would probably pay for the mentioned pressure vacuum test first

While you are doing a few of the lower unit seals, why not do the others? These can also leak: upper driveshaft seal, orings around the 4 carrier bolts, and the large carrier oring itself.
