Hi again
I have posted some of this in another topic, but here is what I found today:
There where twice as much oil on my dipstick now then it should be, I changed the oil and run the engine longer then I ever had since I took it home a week ago, then everything was normal.
Since then Ive rebuild my carb, changed gasket between manifoild and riser and wash the engine.
I had some starting problem after that and my first tought was the carb, but then I found I had an electric problem because of to much water when I washed the engine. I tried to start the engine several times beforee I found out that( Thanks CHF ), but my toughts are that the water must have come in to the engine when it wouldnt start, or when i washed it.
Does this make eany sense to some of you?
Regards
Affa

Affa,

I don't see how washing your engine caused your oil dip stick to show an overfill of oil in the base??

A cracked manifold, cracked head or bad gasket can add oil to your base, and by the sounds of things you may have fixed that overfill water issue.

How did you make out with the compression test of each cylinder?

Hi again CHF
Ihavent done any comprssion test, but I think it must be the manifoild gasket that causes this, since everythings OK as long as the engine runs, maybe the pressure from the exaust keeps the water out, and this whole thing has started when I had trouble starting my engine, I could see a little oil in the water that comes out with the exaust. I checked the manifoild bolt, and I could tighten them almost a turn.
Regards
Affa
