Water in Oil

I am not very knowledgeable about I/O being mostly an outboard type myself. but I would like to know how water can get into the oil? I have heard of the Eshaust manifold being a wet/dry side. could this be a path for water to get into the oil?<br /><br />Thanks

I have read that posting, is there a path that water can take without a crack in the block?
